Final meeting for the 2003-04 year!Welcome!Opening Message from the President, May 29, 2004Greetings everyone! Let's start this meeting off by dealing with business--namely, our next year's budget. Take a look at our past budgets and actual expenses, and consider the proposed figures for next year. Click the "Budget Proposal and Discussion" link at the left. You will find a place to make comments at the bottom of the page. For anything else you'd like to bring up, use the "Meeting Reports and Open Forum" link at left I'll have more to say in an update in a couple of days! Hello Walden Cyberspace PDK colleagues, We are ready to conclude our final meeting of this year by voting on the budget proposal for next year, and filling the last two positions on the executive board. Please vote before midnight PST Sunday night (June 6th). I have made changes to the budget proposal as suggested by those who made comments, so you may wish to review the budget before voting. You can access the ballot from the budget page as well as from the link at top left. You will need to log in to access the ballot. I have sent the User ID and password out via the chapter email list. If you are not subscribed to the list, and need the login data, please email me at gwiseman@mindspring.com. I have not heard that the Greenfield Park School Library wish list is ready, so we'll leave the fulfillment of that project for next time. Once the election is officially over, I will post the installation "ceremony" for our new officers, and that will conclude this meeting, and this year. I sometimes think our progress is too slow, and that we don't do much in the way of implementing service, research or leadership toward the improvement of educational goals. But I do think we've laid some solid groundwork over the last few years, and we have in place now a committed cadre of chapter leadership talent. So now--on to bigger and better things in the years to come! Gay |
