| SPECIAL NOTE: We are pleased for the recovery
of our chapter President, and wish him well as he moves this chapter forward.
Charles, our best wishes to you and your family. Just a few words about
our President, I copied this from another list-serve: Charles is ambitious,
already having one doctorate (music) and is working on another through Walden.
He enjoys Christian fellowship and is presently president of Walden Cyberspace
PDK.
SUMMER SESSION: We thank those that helped out in spreading the word about our PDK chapter. A lot of effort went into arranging and carrying out the different things undertaken. A special thanks to Gay for her guiding influence. We certainly hope that all of those that attended summer session had a wonderful time. This is such a great experience, to be in such a dynamic learning environment, at a nice campus. We congratulate all those that graduated, and were able to "walk", we extend our best wishes to you, may your dreams come true. Welcome to the fraternity of doctorate holders. May you feel good about your experience in getting there and of your personal accomplishments. |
BY-LAWS: Thanks to all those that participated
in reviewing, commenting on, and making suggestions prior to submitting
the Chapter By-Laws to International. This is another step in the chapterĂs
history.
ALUMNI: I have copied and reprinted here a screen from the Walden Alumni section on the internet. It has to do with Volunteering. I thought some of you might be interested. Volunteer at Walden: Many Walden graduates express an interest in maintaining a tie to the University. In response, the Alumni Association facilitates the following volunteer opportunities: Help prospective students understand the Walden experience by talking with them one on one on the phone or via e-mail. You can help them decide if Walden is the right choice for them. We'll forward your name and phone number or e-mail address to potential students interested in your field or located near you. Help students through their programs by facilitating an on-line student support group. |
